These terms apply when you use this website or buy from it. By placing an order you agree to them. Vensoll ("we", "us") is based in British Columbia, Canada.
1. Who can order
You must be at least the age of majority in your province and able to enter a binding contract. You agree to give accurate contact and delivery information.
2. Products and descriptions
We describe our product as accurately as we can, and we publish our full ingredient list. Soap is made in batches, so slight variation in colour, scent and surface appearance between bars is normal and is not a defect.
Our product is a cosmetic cleansing bar. It is not a drug, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Statements about persimmon tannin and (E)-2-nonenal describe the intended cosmetic purpose of the product and the published research background. They are not claims to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. If you have a skin condition or a known allergy, speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use.
3. Verification claims
We publish the current status of our independent testing and documentation on The Science page, including what has not yet been verified. We do not claim a measured tannin percentage until an independent laboratory has produced one and we have published the report. Please read that page rather than relying on any third-party summary of our claims.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your province. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where a product is mispriced due to an error, where stock has run out, or where an order appears fraudulent. If we cancel an order you have paid for, you get a full refund.
5. Shipping
Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.
6. Returns and refunds
Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms. In short: 60 days, full refund, nothing to send back.
7. Using this website
You agree not to use this site to break any law, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, scrape it systematically, or transmit malicious code.
8. Our content
All content on this site — text, photographs, design, and the Vensoll name and marks — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it commercially without written permission. You may of course share links to it.
9. Accuracy
We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors. Where we find an error we correct it. Nothing on this site should be treated as the sole basis for a decision without checking with us first.
10. Third-party links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except for warranties that cannot be excluded by law, the product and this site are provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Canadian consumer protection law, including the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations do not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any consumer protection rights that entitle you to bring a claim elsewhere.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you place your order. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
